All of us have been wounded by life in different ways. We all need healing, but we can often find it painful to examine our wounds. I am no different. I learned from a young age that my feelings and my emotions were not welcome in my environment, and for many years I chose to deny or suppress them.

I have experienced grief, overwhelming loss, divorce, and deep disappointment. While painful, these wounds were the catalyst for my journey to self-acceptance and deeper self-awareness. I’ve gained the realization that I cannot change others, but also the epiphany that I have the power to change myself—to heal, care for, and nurture myself.

After raising six wonderful children, I went back to graduate school. I did so in order to have the opportunity to sit with others willing to do courageous, life-changing work in their lives. Maybe you are ready for such a journey of personal discovery. If so, I would be honored to walk with you on this road.

I bring a unique blend of empathy, compassion, creativity, and humor to the time spent together, and I truly enjoy therapeutic exploration with clients. I desire to help you face your most trying moments with grace—to give you the support and perspective that can help you find emotional awareness. Together, we will identify the obstacles and find practical solutions, so that you can become grounded and whole.
